When we designed RV SnapPads, we went to a lot of effort to make them easy to use. In fact, the hardest thing about SnapPads might be figuring out which package goes on which RV!

The RV industry is filled with hundreds of different rigs and dozens of different leveling systems, all of which have different jack foot sizes and configurations. As a result, we've been forced to make various types of SnapPads and put them together in wacky combinations.

The problem is, that can make picking the right package pretty confusing. This article will be a quick guide on how to know which SnapPads are right for your rig :)

SnapPad XTRA

SnapPad XTRA was made for 9" and 12" round jack feet from LCI® Ground Control® and Level Up® systems, which can be found on over 145 different rigs (that we have discovered so far). Most common on Fifth Wheels, you can sometimes find these systems on Class A and Class C Motorhomes too.

Luckily, XTRA is a pretty easy one. It only comes in two sizes for round jacks, 9" and 12".

For travel trailers, we also have XTRA Square 6 (for square jacks between 5 3/4"- 6") and XTRA Square 5 (for square jacks between 5 1/2" - 5-5/8") that are fetued on the LCI Px1® and Px2® Power stabilizers.

Here's how to figure out if you need SnapPad XTRA and which package to get:

1a.) Check your leveling system to ensure it is a Lippert/LCI® Ground Control® or Level Up® if you have a hydraulic system.

The control panel will look like this:

And your jacks will look like this (both 9" and 12" look the same):

For extra confirmation, please measure your jack's diameter to determine if your RV's feet are about 9" across or 12".

**Very Important -These pads are specifically made to fit flat landing feet, they will likely not work if your landing feet are bent or have become "dished." Prior to placing your order please visually inspect all of your landing feet to ensure they are flat as seen in the photo on the right. If you are unsure please feel free to send us a photo.

1b.) If you have stabilizers you need to measure across the foot on top to determine what size they are:

6" Square example

2.) If all the jack feet are 9", count the number of 9" jacks your rig has. The most common configurations are 4 or 6.

3.) Click on "SnapPad XTRA" under our product menu and select the package that corresponds with the number of feet you have.

4.) If you have a mix of 9" and 12"click on SnapPad XTRA XL Plus.

5.) If you have upgraded your jack feet to have four of the larger 12" jacks you will want the XTRA XL 4-pack.

6.) If you have the Px1® or Px2® Power stabilizers with 5 3/4" to 6" square jack feet* you need our XTRA Square 6 4-pack. For jacks that are 5 1/2 - 5 5/8", check out XTRA Square 5.

*Please note that it is very important to carefully measure your jack feet for stabilizers. While these square jacks all look the same to the naked eye, a small variation in width will make proper installation impossible if you have the wrong SnapPad product. Need help? SnapPad HiWay

Made to fit on HWH® levelers, the SnapPad HiWay product line is one of our most varied.

HWH® jacks commonly come in three different sizes - 8", 10", and 11.5" - and the different sized feet are often mixed together in different configurations. That means SnapPad HiWays are available in 6 different packages!

Note - HWH® also makes a 13.5" jack which can appear on the back of larger Class A Motorhomes. Due to clearance concerns, we are unable to make a SnapPad for this size of foot.

Here's what to do if you are unsure which one to get:

1.) Check your leveling system to ensure it is an HWH®.

The control panel will look like this:

And your jacks will look like this (notice the big springs):

HWH® 8"

HWH® 10"

HWH® 11.5"

If you need extra confirmation, you can measure your jack's diameter to determine what size they are. In general, 8" HWH® jack feet are smaller and have large brackets on the side. They are often located on all four jacks, or just on the front of larger rigs.

2.) Determine what your "mix" of jack foot sizes is. Here are all the possible combinations:

In the list above, you will find the name of the SnapPad HiWay package that corresponds with the related leveling system configuration. For example, a rig with two 8" jacks in the front and two 10" jacks in the rear would need to get a "HiWay Plus" package.

3.) Click on "SnapPad HiWay" under our product menu and select the package that corresponds with the configuration you found on your rig  (or click the package link in the list above).

**Special Note - We have discovered that HiWay 10's (SnapPads for 10" round HWH feet) also work with Atwood levelers that are also 10" and round. Atwood customers will want the "HiWay 10" package.

For general guidance, some of the most common rigs that are compatible with SnapPad HiWay include:

  • Tiffin Class A Motorhomes (Phaeton, Allegro, Allegro Bus, Allegro Red, Allegro Open Road)
  • Winnebago Class A Motorhomes (Vectra, Journey, Tour, Grand Tour, Adventurer, Journey, Vista, Aspect, Chieftain, View, Sunova, Cambria)
  • Winnebago Class C Motorhome (Minnie Winnie)
  • Itasca Class A Motorhomes (Meridian, Cambria, Journey, Sunova, Navion)
  • Newmar Class A Motorhomes (Kountry Star, Dutch Star, Ventana, Dutchstar, New Aire, Canyon Star, London Aire, Mountain Aire, Essex)
  • Jayco Fifth Wheel (Eagle)
  • Fleetwood Class A Motorhome (Bounder)
  • Rexall Class A Motorhome (Roseair)
  • Western Class A Motorhome (Alpine)
  • Coach House Class C Motorhome (Platinum)

Please note, however, that the only way to guarantee you get the right SnapPad package is to visually inspect and confirm your leveling system.

SnapPad EQ

Designed to work with Equalizer Systems brand levelers, SnapPad EQ comes in a wide variety of packages compatible to Equalizer's varied size and shape of feet. Our current lineup features SnapPads for 7" square, 8" square, 10" round, 10" octagonal, and 12" round jacks.

What that means is there are a bunch of different packages available for RVers with Equalizer Systems!

Here's how you can figure out which one works for you:

1.) Check your leveling system to ensure it is Equalizer Systems.

The control panel will look like this:

And your jacks will look like this:

7" Square

8" Square

10" & 12" Round (they look the same, except the 12" is bigger)

10" Octagon

If you need extra confirmation, you can measure your jack's diameter to determine what size they are. Of course, the 10" octagon feet are typically pretty easy to spot. That said, be sure you aren't looking at Equalizer's 7" square/octagon shaped foot!

2.) Determine what your "mix" of jack foot sizes is. Here are all the possible combinations:

In the list above, you will find the name of the SnapPad EQ package that corresponds with the relevant EQ jack foot combo.

3.) Click on "SnapPad EQ" under our product menu and select the package that corresponds with the configuration you found on your rig (or click the package link in the list above). If you have a rig with 12" round jacks, you'll find your package in the EQ Grand collection

Hopefully, that help clears up any confusion!

**Special Note - We have discovered that EQ Round (SnapPads for 10" round Equalizer feet) also work with Atwood levelers that are also 10" and round. Atwood customers will want the "EQ Round" package.

For general guidance, some of the most common rigs that are compatible with SnapPad EQ include:

  • Newmar Class A Motorhomes (Ventana, Baystar)
  • Entegra Class A Motorhomes (Aspire, Anthem, Cornerstone)

SnapPad PRIME

Our thickest, most heavy duty SnapPad, PRIME had to be made with a deep lip in order to accommodate the slight "bowl" shape of  Power Gear® (and Kwikee Level Best®) 10" jack feet.

Luckily, PRIME is our easiest product to understand. It comes in only two configurations, which are simple to figure out once you confirm you have the right system.

Here's how to do it:

1.) Check your leveling system to ensure it is a Power Gear® or Kwikee Level Best®.

The control panels will look like this:

And your jacks will look like this:

If you need extra confirmation, you can measure your jack's diameter to ensure your RV's feet are about 10" across.

2.) Count the number of 10" jacks your RV has. The most common configuration is four, but some rigs have the rare tri-pod system (three jacks, two in the back, one in the front).

3.) Click on "SnapPad PRIME" under our product menu and select the package that corresponds with the number of feet you have.

You're done!

For general guidance, some of the most common rigs that are compatible with SnapPad PRIME include:

  • Fleetwood Class A Motorhomes (most models)
  • Winnebago Class A Motorhomes (Voyage, Forza, Sunova, Sunstar, Sightseer, Vista)
  • National Class A Motorhomes (Sea Breeze, Tropical, Dolphin)
  • Jayco Class A and Class C Motorhomes (Precept, Alante, Seneca)
  • Gulfstream Class A Motorhomes (Tourmaster)
  • Dynamax Class C Motorhomes (DX3)
  • Airstream Travel Trailer (Land Yacht)
  • Safari Class A Motorhomes (Monaco)
  • Holiday Class A Motorhomes (Rambler Endeavor)

SnapPad BF

For Class C Motorhomes with Bigfoot Hydraulic leveling systems, we have the SnapPad BF product line. SnapPad BF comes in two, basic packages: BF 7 and BF 10. BF 7 features four SnapPads that fit on Bigfoot's 7" square jack, while BF 10 has four SnapPads for Bigfoot's 10" octagon shaped jack.

To determine if your rig has a Bigfoot system, take a look at your jacks and control panel. The control should say "Bigfoot" on it and may look something like this:

bigfoot_panel

The 10" Octagon jacks will have an "upturned lip", like this:

bigfoot_jacks_10

While the 7" square jack has a more traditional profile:

To further confirm your system-to-SnapPad package match, simply measure your jacks across the bottom. They should be 7 inches for the square BF 7 system and 10 inches for the Octagon BF 10 system.

Once you have determined if your jacks are compatible, click on our SnapPad BF collection and choose the right package for you: BF 7 for 7" jacks and BF 10 for 10 inch jacks. That's it!

For general guidance, some of the most common rigs that are compatible with SnapPad BF include:

  • Coachmen Class C Motorhomes (Leprecaun models)
  • Forest River Class C Motorhomes (Sunseeker models)
  • Blue Bird Class A Motorhomes (Wanderlodge models)

Please note, however, that the only way to guarantee you get the right SnapPad package is to visually inspect and confirm your leveling system.

SnapPad Rival

While RVA® leveling systems are rare on modern RVs, you can still find them on some Class A models from the mid and early 2000's. RVA's leveling system comes with three different, 3-point configurations:

Three, 8" round jacks (SnapPad Rival 8)
Three, 10" round, flat jacks (SnapPad Rival 10)
Three, 10" round concave jacks (not compatible)

Unfortunately, we do not currently have a solution for rigs featuring the 10" round, concave-shaped leveling feet.

For general guidance, some of the most common rigs that are compatible with SnapPad Rival include:

  • Beaver®
  • Holiday Rambler®
  • Monaco®
  • Safari®

Please note, however, that the only way to guarantee you get the right SnapPad package is to visually inspect and confirm your leveling system.
