1. Padre Island National Seashore 

Padre Island National Seashore is located in Corpus Christi, TX. Here you will find nearly deserted beaches and multiple primitive camp and RV sites. You will be right on the shore so you can start your day with long walks on the beach!

2. Long Key State Park 

Long Key State Park is a lowkey park located on one of the Florida Keys in Layton, FL. The best part? Every site here is waterfront! The water is shallow so you can walk into the ocean right from your RV. We’ve heard the Rangers here are super friendly and it’s the best State Parks in the Keys.

3. Dockweiler State Beach RV Park 

Dockweiler State Beach RV Park is located in sunny Playa Del Rey, CA. This RV park is located right on the beach and a short distance away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. Whether you’re looking for a beach getaway or a destination to explore Hollywood, Dockweiler State Beach RV Park has you covered. 


Best Family-Friendly RV Parks

1. Family and Friends Campground 

Family and Friends Campground is located in beautiful Standish, Maine. The campground is less than a mile from local restaurants, a theatre, fishing and boating on Sebago Lake. They have full hookup sites, a stocked fishing pond, a swimming pool, and a full event calendar to keep the kiddos busy! A big bonus, it’s only 30 minutes drive to downtown Portland, Maine. Don’t forget to grab some lobster if you visit this family-friendly RV resort. 

2. Mount Rushmore KOA

The Mount Rushmore KOA is a fantastic family-friendly RV resort located in the heart of the Black Hills in Hill City, SD. Located around the campground are five major Black Hills attractions: Mt Rushmore National Monument, Crazy Horse Memorial, Jewel Cave National Monument, Wind Cave National Park, and Custer State Park. KOA's Fun Zone entertains with heated pools, spas, a waterslide, a splash pad, a jumping pillow, mini-golf, and a 25-foot climbing wall! This resort offers bike rentals, golf cart/ATV rentals, car rentals, guided horseback rides, gold panning, and a chuckwagon dinner. Your kids will not get bored here!

Cajun Palms RV Resort is located in Henderson, LA. This family-friendly park has over 300 deluxe RV sites and their onsite clubhouse frequently has bands and two large concessions stands. Additionally, this resort has a pool, workout facility, arcade, and theatre. They also have holiday parties that are fun for all ages!

1. Victoria Palms RV Resort 

Victoria Palms RV Resort is a premier age-qualified resort located in the tropical Rio Grande Valley in Donna, TX. This RV resort has a full restaurant on-site, pool and outdoor spas, a fitness center, and a two-story craft center! They offer over 300 perfectly paved pull-through and back-in sites with full hookups. With an average yearly temperature of 73° Fahrenheit, who wouldn’t want to park it at this resort for a while? 

2. Sun Life RV Resort 

Sun Life RV Resort is located in the stunning desert town of Mesa, AZ. This age-qualified resort offers more amenities and scheduled activities than you could dream of! Water aerobics, aqua cycling, sports leagues, ice cream socials, theater outings, happy hours, wine tastings, line dancing, and bingo just to name a few. 

3. Bluewater Key RV Resort 

Bluewater Key RV Resort is nestled in the picture-perfect town of Key West, FL. Key West is the southernmost point in the United States and the weather here is amazing year-round. 1. Solstice Motorcoach Resort 

The Solstice Motorcoach RV Resort is conveniently located off I-15 in Mesquite, NV. Due to its location, this resort provides motorcoach owners with easy access to Las Vegas and Southern Utah. You get the best of both worlds by being able to explore the vast and gorgeous land of Southern Utah and the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas strip. This park is perfect for long term stays with their scenic mountain views, walking trails, and active clubhouse. 

2. Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, you’ll find Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort. Located in Lake Toxaway, NC this resort offers full hookups, upgraded patios, and even coach cottages. Onsite you will find a private clubhouse, tennis courts, pickleball, two fitness facilities, two pools, a spa, and laundry facilities. Consider this resort your second home! 

3. Motorcoach Country Club

Best Luxury RV Resorts 

1. Petoskey RV Resort 

The Petoskey RV Resort is 26-acres and located in Southfield, MI. If you’ve never been to Michigan, add this resort to your list ASAP. Not only is the state awesome, but we also loved our time in Petoskey, MI. This resort features a temperature-controlled swimming pool and spa, a putting green to hone your skills on, and a cozy community lodge. They offer paved back-in and pull-through sites up to 55 feet so all rig sizes are welcome. If you give this resort a visit, don’t forget to hunt for Petoskey Stones in Lake Michigan! 

2. Zion River Resort 

Zion River Resort is located in the beautiful town of Virgin, UT. Their five-star resort surpasses all others in the area and the location can’t be beat. This resort is only minutes from Zion National Park and also serves as a great basecamp to Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon North Rim, and Cedar Breaks National Monument. After a long day of exploring Southern Utah, you can retreat back to your RV site that has full hook-ups, a shade tree, fire ring, picnic table, free Wi-Fi, and cable television. All rig sizes are welcome because pull-thru sites are 60-70 feet long with a concrete pad and a grassy area.

3. River Plantation RV Resort 

River Plantation RV Resort is located in Sevierville, TN which is perfect for exploring Pigeon Forge, Knoxville, Dollywood, and the Smoky Mountains. Some of the amenities included in this resort are two pools, a hot tub, a lazy river, a splash pad, a game room, and a workout facility. They have a store onsite if you’re craving any snacks or drinks during your camping experience.  


Bonus: Best Boondocking Locations

1. Hendrick’s Flat 

This big rig friendly boondocking spot is located in Salida, CO. It’s just far enough away from downtown Salida to feel remote but also close enough that you’re not driving forever just to get to town. You have a clear view of the Sawatch Mountain Range during the night and beautiful star gazing at night. This boondocking location is only 10 miles from Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort, where you can buy a day pass and soak in their many different hot springs.

2. Long Draw Road

The Long Draw Road boondocking spot can be found in Lead, SD. This specific site can only fit one rig, so if you snag it, you’ll have the beauty of the Black Hills all to yourself! Located about 30 yards off the forest road, you will park your RV next to a stream that flows into a small pond. The famous town of Deadwood is only about a 15-minute drive from this location, where you can explore old bars, mines, and even go on a ghost tour. 

3. American Girl Mine 

American Girl Mine boondocking location is one of the more popular spots among RVers, but don’t let that stop you. There is plenty of space for everyone at this boondocking spot located in Winterhaven, CA. You will find yourself surrounded by picturesque mountains and treated to stunning sunsets every night. This is a great place to bring your outdoor toys, as the Algodones Dunes are only five minutes away.
